REVIEW

Dong Ding Oolong Fresh Milk Tea
Sugar: 50%
Price: $4.70
Store concept/service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tea: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pearl: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Outlet: Woodlands MRT
This is a drink costing $4.70. Quite an expensive drink. I’m gonna talk about the taste. The drink itself it’s interesting 🤔. The drink have a little bitter side to it, and the pearls bring on the sweetness to it, which helps even up on the taste. I don’t know what I’m really drinking if I don’t know the name of the drink. But, it’s really makes me have that temptation to buy it again and try it.
That brings me on to 3 cool things about this drink/stall:
- The stall uses paper carrier to help curb environment issues, on top of that, I don’t have to fidget around trying to find my straw.
- The plastic cup they use is quite a good material to reuse.
- This stall uses paper materials on straw cover and carrier, the green sticker makes it their stall identity. So unique.
However, it’s not all positive though, here are 3 not so cool things:
- Why do you not have 70%,25% and 120% sugar, I just don’t get it. KOI covers all quarter sugar level.
- Why do you not have no ice? Why? Annoying, can’t get my drink at room temperature.
- Why do you write the drink name on the cup, instead of using a sticker? What if I want to reuse the cup?
To sum it all up, should you:
- Avoid it?
- Consider it?
- Shortlist it?
- Buy it?
I reckon you should shortlist it. If you’re looking for a high class drink like KOI and this, and interesting taste and you’re an adventurous person, it’s a good choice.

Honey Green Tea
Honey: 50%
Price: $4.70
Store Service/Concept: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Drink: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pearl: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Outlet: Takashimaya SC
Comparing Green Tea from Brand and to Brand. Let me compare it to its rival, KOI. KOI: Honey Green Tea w/ golden bubble
Both of these drinks are very close.
First, I’m gonna talk about the Green Tea. Both brands are smooth with their tea, they do not have a rough taste at the back just like MilkSha do which still is very good. Honestly both are on the equal side for the tea.
Next, we’ve got the presentation. Im gonna say ChiCha SanChen has the best presentation I have ever seen. The cardboard they use makes it feel high class, and indeed it should be that way. For KOI, it’s just a plastic bag. However, there’s something I’m not so keen on for CCSC, I’ll mention it soon. Still, another point for CCSC
Thirdly, the topping of course. CCSC have nice big black pearls but they are huge in size that it do not go well with the Green Tea + Honey. Whereas KOI, the golden bubble fits well with the Honey Green Tea. Im not the only one who agrees, Gavin agrees as well. So, that’s a point to KOI.
Finally, 3 annoying things about Green Tea + Honey + Pearl:
- The small plastic tab on the cup is a little fussy tryna take it out and have to find a bin to dispose it. Can you get a plastic attachment to it?
- Tab is bigger than straw which a high chance of spillage compared to stabbing the straw.
- 1 Size only and not 2.
Thankfully, it’s not all negative though here’s 3:
- Pearl is chewy
- Tea is very smooth
- Epic Presentation
So then, what’s my final verdict? Should you:
- Avoid it?
- Consider it?
- Shortlist it?
- Buy it?
I reckon you should Consider this drink. KOI’s pearl is the right size for such drink.

Sakura Fresh Milk Tea
Sugar: 50%
Ice: Less
Price: $6.00
Drink: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sakura Konjac Jelly: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Concept: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Outlet: Marina Square
Positive:
+ Strong tea taste
+ Generous amount of Sakura Konjac Jelly
+ Sweetness and ice level just right
Negative:
- A little too expensive
- Standard cup size
Final Verdict:
Buy it. It looks really bad from the image but when you taste it, it's a whole different story. CCSC for the 2nd time managed to surprise me after the Dong Ding Oolong Fresh Milk Tea. This drink is just really have that wow factor as you can't really taste the fresh milk but rather like a plain tea with Sakura Konjac Jelly.
-1 point for the price, but everything else is just almost perfect. Well deserved.
